6 Things Your Doctor Doesn't Want You To Know

Let's face it. In some ways, your doctor is just looking out for himself. Find out these 6 things he doesn't want you to know.

1. His Social Security Number

Social Security Numbers, (referred to as SSN from this point forward), are the key to a lot of a person's personal information, and if used correctly can really wreak havoc on a person's life. Your doctor would prefer that you didn't have that information, just in case. It's not that he doesn't trust you, he doesn't tell anybody his social security number.

2. Where his kids go to school

Again, it's not that he thinks you'd do anything, he just figures the less people know about his family, the lower the risk of something bad happening is.

3. His other patients' medical information

Doctors have kind of a code about keeping patients' information private. If you found out another patient's information, that would be a breach of that code, and he'd just rather that didn't happen. He has a family to support and doesn't want to lose his license.

4. His personal secrets

He just doesn't know you like that. There are things he hasn't even told his wife.

5. His address

He just doesn't see why you would need to know that. He only has your address for billing purposes. He's not going to go to your house or anything. Look, if you're not okay with it, you'll have to find a new doctor.

6. His cell phone number

You can reach him at the office. If you have an emergency after hours, you'll just have to call 9-11.
