A man whose name we've been asked not to disclose was at his local Target store picking up a few things for his home. The last thing he expected* was to have his credit card declined. However, after being offered a Target credit card, he declined and slid his own card. Then things got interesting. The cashier informed him that his payment was declined. Standing uncomfortably, he had no idea what to do. Then something dawned on him.
He had his checkbook in his car. The man ran out to his car and grabbed his checkbook. As he was filling it out, the cashier informed him that the machine would actually fill it out for him. Luckily, it went through.
Author's edit: We've been informed that the man actually expected his card to be declined. He just "figured he'd try it anyway".
